BONOMI Industries traces its entrepreneurial roots back to 1828, with a history marked by the culture of improvement, innovative leadership and manufacturing excellence. Since we started manufacturing valves in 1954, our international growth has not changed the human spirit and the original values. Still, they coexist together with the latest innovations, guided by the new generations of the Bonomi family.
Silvio Bonomi and his brother Oreste found Eredi di Bonomi Silvio.
The headquarters is moved from Lumezzane to Sant’Eufemia.
Company name is changed to Rubinetterie utensilerie Bonomi (RuB).
Start of brass ball valve production and export to Europe.
A modern 5,000 m² factory is built, and production is moved to Ciliverghe di Mazzano.
Specific investments are made in ball valve production.
Production of 1,000,000 ball valves per year is reached for the first time.
The first investments in IT begin when an IBM System/34 is installed for order, warehouse, procurement and administration management.
The factory is expanded to 8,000 m² to improve the internal layout and separate assembly from machining.
US subsidiary RuB, Inc. is founded with headquarters in Minneapolis, Minnesota and warehouse in Boston, Massachusetts.
ISO 9002 Quality System is certified by Lloyd’s Register, upgraded to ISO 9001 in 1998.
For the first time, 8,000,000 ball valves are produced in one year. An additional factory shed was built with associated loading bays for shipping material.
The US warehouse is relocated from Boston to Minneapolis
An additional factory shed is purchased to expand the assembly department with a total indoor area of 12,500 m².
The Japan subsidiary RuB, k.k. is founded in Tokyo.
SAP management software and a new MES is used for the first time in Italy.
The use of SAP management is extended to the two USA and Japan subsidiaries.
The Lean Project is initiated and the company management and teamwork are established.
The first 60 years of RuB are celebrated with all employees and their families.
A 5,000 m² warehouse with offices is built in Shakopee, Minnesota.
The company is restructured by creating an operational holding company “Hadron srl” to manage the group’s administration finance and control, human resources, information technology, quality system and marketing areas.
Shedstone Srl, the group’s real-estate management company, is established.
Construction of a new 8,000 m² warehouse is started and completed adjacent to the existing ones. Total indoor surface area: 20,000 m².
The company name is changed to “Bonomi Industries”
Innovative machinery is installed to machine, assemble and handle products with the aim of improving the ergonomics of employees’ work and making the production process even more efficient and safe.
The Service Building is inaugurated, with spacious changing rooms, canteen and training room for all employees.
Founder Silvio Bonomi passes away. Old and new employees, as well as many suppliers and acquaintances, embrace in a moving salute.
The packaging line with fully automated handling of products, boxes and cartons starts operation.
Additional machines are installed to complete the investment plan aimed at optimising the production of STD ball valves, balls, bodies and ball pushers of up to 2”.
The project to replace all machinery in the multi-spindle department with bar transfer machines is started.

Since that distant 1954, the year Bonomi Industries was established, many things have changed! However, what has remained unchanged is our commitment to providing the market and our customers with the highest quality products. A celebration would not be complete without sharing it with all those who have made this important achievement possible through their daily dedication to maintaining excellent service and punctuality, which make us a market leader.

Bonomi - 65th anniversary
The company celebrated its 65th anniversary the 25th of May 2019 at the company headquarters in Brescia, Italy.
The celebration brought together families, employees and even some historic customers. It was an important and heartfelt anniversary, which comes at a time of great change as the company recently underwent a name change.
The new name “Bonomi Industries” reflects the Bonomi family’s commitment and future vision to include more industrialization projects, the extension of the product range and expansion of the manufacturing plant.
All these activities contributed to making the celebration a remarkable party that was enjoyed by all with music, games, good food and guided tours in the plant, cared for by colleagues who proudly shared their work-life with all the guests.
RuB - 60th anniversary
In June 2014, RuB proudly celebrated its 60th anniversary. The roots of the business actually date back seven Bonomi generations to the 19th century, while the creation of the current business entity “Rubinetterie utensilerie Bonomi” occurred in 1954 when Mr. Silvio Bonomi and Mr. Oreste Bonomi started their own company. At that time, they already knew how to produce quality parts as they began at the young ages of 13 and 12, due to the untimely death of their father in 1946, just after World War II.
Later Silvio was joined by his two sons Luciano and Sandro in the family business. Together they have achieved many milestones including the development of subsidiaries RuB Inc. in the United States and RuB KK in Japan.
On the occasion of the 60th anniversary, RuB was honored with the Legion of Merit by the Mazzano municipality for its ethical and successful presence in Mazzano, supporting local employment and social activities.
